Finite ("we", "our", "the app") is a contemplative iOS app that helps you notice the passage of time. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your data is handled.

Data We Collect

Finite stores the following data, all of which you provide directly:

• Birthday — used to calculate your life calendar and scarcity insights. Stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud container.
• Events — countdowns you create (name, date, category, recurrence). Stored locally and synced via iCloud.
• Photos — images you attach to event memories. Stored locally on your device and in your private iCloud container.
• Voice Memos — audio recordings you attach to memories. Stored locally and in your private iCloud container.
• Reflections — weekly journal entries you write. Stored locally and synced via iCloud.
• Preferences — theme, appearance mode, onboarding state. Stored locally on your device.

How Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework and synced to your personal iCloud account via CloudKit. We do not operate any servers. Your data lives in your iCloud container, which only you can access with your Apple ID.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect analytics or usage data.
• We do not use any third-party tracking or advertising SDKs.
• We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
• We do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party.

Camera, Photos & Microphone

Finite requests access to your camera and photo library to let you attach photos to event memories. Microphone access is requested to record voice memos for memories. These permissions are optional — the app functions fully without them. Media you capture is stored only on your device and in your private iCloud container.

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your data syncs across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This is handled entirely by Apple's infrastructure. We have no access to your iCloud data. You can disable iCloud sync in your device's Settings.

In-App Purchases

Finite offers premium subscriptions and a lifetime purchase through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect or store any payment information.

Children's Privacy

Finite is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time from within the app via Settings > Data Management > Delete All Data. This permanently removes all events, memories, photos, voice memos, and reflections from your device. Data synced to iCloud can be removed by disabling iCloud sync or deleting the app's iCloud data from your Apple ID settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with a new "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
